Since the launch of the latest "Android OS" including "Lollipop" and "Marshmallow", the FRP i.e., Factory Reset Protection has been made a standard on all the devices which have the Android Lollipop (5.1) or above. Usually, we factory reset a device to get past a locked screen or to sell a device. By setting up an FRP on their devices, they have made the sole reason of doing a "Factory Reset" obsolete. I know this seems to be annoying as to why Samsung would do this. "Why is it asking my Google account to set up my device again?" This question is probably what brought you to the VisiHow article. FRP stands for "Factory Reset Protection", which is a security method to make sure no one can wipe factory reset a stolen device and use it.
